Generate Voice Overs Using Voicely Software, a Detailed Guide!

Oftentimes you find yourself in need of someone to do the voiceover for your projects but it’s not quite the way you envisioned. Since you can’t control how the voiceover artist speaks or enunciates certain words, you’re obliged to conduct many interviews to select the best voice-over artist that fits with your project. Well, Voicely is quite the opposite!

Voicely offers complete freedom to check more than 500 voices in total for different languages. All voices can be previewed freely without paying any extra money in order to make up your mind on which voice to use. The app also offers a few children's voices mainly for the English language. However, you can also change the pitch of other voices to fit a child’s voice.

Text to speech service is now available big-time than a few years back. It’s a new era dominated by artificial intelligence. It’s also heavily used in situations where human voiceovers aren’t necessary or can’t be used. The service is mostly used in video marketing strategies. It can also be used by content creators on YouTube and other video platforms. However, even with the hype around text to speech, not all services provide quality like voices that could be used instead of human voices.

Instead of investing time researching what’s the best text-to-speech tool out there, we have made it easier for you. Voicely is a web app text to speech technology. The service helps you convert any text to a speech within seconds. The app considers user experience and flexibility a priority, which is why the application is streamlined and clear to use.

It is self-explanatory to work it out especially when you have all your materials ready. With more than 60 languages supported and an overall of +500 voices, Voicely can be determined as the text-to-speech service with the most supported languages out there.

An In-Depth Look at Voicely !

Voicely is created by Atlas Web Solutions, which also developed Vidtoon software. To be able to access Voicely software, you will need to access the Vidtoon membership area first then click on Voicely to access the app. You don’t have to purchase Vidtoon first to be able to access Voicely, you can simply purchase Voicely via www.vidtoon.com/voicely

After purchase, you will receive an email with login details and the URL  to access the app. In case of any difficulties, Voicely team provides training videos on how to leverage each feature and create your own voiceover.

You will notice that the app has two main functions. The text box is designed to add text material according to your project and needs. The settings are mainly functionality elements, like choosing a language, voice options, preview quality of voices, and adjusting pitch and volume.

Generating the TTS button is the final step that will allow you to generate your voiceover. Make sure you click on it once you make all adjustments and edits to your text.

The voiceover bar at the bottom of the app is for generated voiceover and background music. Voicely has also the feature to add background music to your voiceover for people who struggle to find commercial-free soundtracks. It’s also helpful as it allows you to edit the voice on one platform without having to look for an exterior editing tool to add music.

Once you’re satisfied with the outcome, you can either download the voiceover in an MP3 file or save it in your Voicely account for later use.

Sneak Peek At The Languages and Voice List

Voicely has almost 60 languages and more than 500 voices overall. Each language has a certain amount of voices that correspond to 3 options: Basic, Standard, and Neural.

Basic voices are unlimited to use. Standard and Neural require credits to use. Once you purchase the app, you will be given 50 credits to use the mentioned options. The pricing of both standard and neural options is 0.0002 and 0.0004 per char respectively. This means that a text with 5000 chars using one of the Standard voices will only cost 1 credit. Same for Neural, a text with 2500 chars will cost 1 credit based on the pricing system previously stated.

It’s important for text-to-speech tools to support different languages as its core purpose is to provide voiceovers. Therefore, it should accept many spoken languages around the world and produce human-like voice results. Voicely supports more than 70 languages. Some of these languages are different accents spoken in a specific language. For example, English has many variants: UK, US, AUS, India, New Zealand, South Africa… The same aspect can be said for Indian Portuguese, Spanish languages, etc.

What’s most important in Voicely is that not only does it support different languages, but it also supports languages spoken by minorities or languages that are not considered as universal as others. Some of these languages are: Swahili, Sinhala, Macedonian, Latvian…

The number of voices for each language depends on the usability of that specific language. For instance, the English language has more voices than the Sinhala language. Some also have voices in all three options and others don’t. It all depends on the voice popularity in text-to-speech technology.

How to Create a Simple Voiceover

Choose The Language and Voice

First and foremost, it’s better to prepare all materials before using Voicely in order to easily generate your audio file. Start by choosing the language of your text. Then you need to select the voice that best suits your content. You can preview each voice to check its quality.

Prepare Your Text Material

You’re using a text-to-speech tool in order to generate a voiceover of your text. Therefore, you need to have your text ready and edited before accessing the app.

You might wonder if there is any word limit in Voicely as the majority of text-to-speech tools limit their text. Voicely has the following word limits for each voice option:

  • Basic option: 1000 word limit

  • Standard Option: 3000 characters limit

  • Neural Option: 5000-word limit

Word limit in Voicely can be dealt with using a merging tool. We suggest using this one by audio-joiner: https://audio-joiner.com/ You can create multiple audio files and merge them to have one final single audio file.

Edit Your Material One Last Time

Now that you have added all elements to Voicely, you can still select different TTS speeds and change the pitch based on your preference and how you think the audio should sound. Once you have made all changes, you can now click on Generate TTS.

Your audio voice is now generated. You can play it to check its quality.

Add Background Music If Preferable

In case your project requires adding a soundtrack to your audio, you can do it straight from Voicely without having to look for an exterior tool. The app provides a selection of commercial-free soundtracks. Choose one and adjust its volume to match the audio. The music varies from Rock, Electric, Pop, Slow, and more!

Once you have made all adjustments, you can finally generate your audio by clicking on Create Sound and then Download.
